Now for the easy iris.
Open a new canvas 256x256 and fill the first layer with the colors of the eyes. The right edge being the outter ring and the left edge the pupil. Next click Filters>Blur>Gaussian Blur with a radius of 10. Then click Layer>Transform>Rotate 90 Clockwise.

Now you want to click File>Open as Layers and navigate to a light colored hair texture and open. Then click Colors>Desaturate and set the layer mode to overlay

Next click Layer>New from visible. With this layer selected click Filters>Distort> Polar Coordinates, leave the settings as they are and click OK.

Now you have your iris. You can adjust how much of each colour you want and how large or small you want your pupil to be in the first step. In the next tutorial we will work on the shadows and highlights of the eye
P.S. I have included pictures in good faith to help you on your creating journey. Please do not steal my textures, creating your own is much more satisfying. Stealing my texture will result in a DMCA complaint lodged against you and I would hate for it to come to that.
